Coburg Leisure centre 80kwp rectification

In 2016, iEnergytech was contracted by the Moreland City Council to audit and rectify a recently installed 80kWp solar PV system located at the Coburg Leisure Centre.  The system had stopped generating energy.

Upon investigation multiple non compliance issues were found.  Rectification works were undertaken to address the more urgent/serious issues and the system handed over back to the customer in early 2017.

Rectification works included: replacing the protection relay; checking all roof-top DC isolators and installing bootlace ferrules on the fine-stranded dc cable to ensure copper creep was reduced (this reduces the chances of high-resistance connections); installing covers over the dc isolators to protect from rain and UV; re doing the the switchboard housing the protection relay to ensure IP rating was maintained; etc.
