Kerry nolan 4.34 KWP
“How do you install a system, all at one pitch, on a fairly confined roof, without ending up creating two rows? How do you do this and leave space at the back for ease of access? And how do you pitch the modules, at least at 15-degrees to the horizontal to ensure adequate water run off (and therefore reduce maintenance costs). We used a Schletter flat- roof system with two rows on the one frame. To ensure compliance with AS1170.2 and Schletter’s requirements, we had to use approximately 80 fixings for this 4.34kWp system. 14 panels in 2 rows of 7 each were mounted on the framing. An underlay had to be first installed to ensure safety of the structure. All M8 fixings were torqued to 21Nm. Seam clamps to ≈ 9 Nm so as not to compress the kliplok seams by more than 1mm; Mid and End clamps to 14Nm.”
