iEnergytech Commitment to Data Privacy Protection

Protecting the security and privacy of your personal data is important to iEnergytech. Therefore, we conduct our business in compliance with applicable laws on data privacy protection and data security. We hope the policy outlined below will help you understand what data iEnergytech may collect, how iEnergytech uses and safeguards that data and with whom we may share it.

  1. personal data

    iEnergytech will not collect any personal data about you (e.g. your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address) through our websites or otherwise, unless you voluntarily choose to provide us with it (e.g. by registration or survey), provide your consent, or unless we are otherwise permitted by applicable laws and regulations for the protection of your personal data.

    The kinds of personal information we collect and hold are information required for us to communicate with you, or to enable you to work with us as a customer, supplier, job applicant or employee, such as your contact and payment details, date of birth or your trading, credit or working history. In some instances sensitive information such as health information may be collected if it is required as in the case of a job application, if it is a requirement of the position.

    We usually collect personal information directly from you, for example when you complete an application form, deal with us over the phone, send us a letter, use our website, respond to a survey or otherwise through interactions with iEnergytech and its affiliated companies or service providers. Sometimes information may be collected from third party agencies that provide credit, compliance and security checks if this information is necessary to enable us to work together.

  2. PURPOSE OF COLLECTION AND USE

    When you or a third party provides us with personal data, we generally use it to respond to your enquiry, to process your order, or to work with you as a customer, supplier or employee and to give you specific information or offers. Also, to support our relationship with you:

    • We may store and process personal data and share it with our affiliates to better understand your business needs and how we can provide our products and services; or

    • We (or a third party on our behalf) may use personal data to contact you about an iEnergytech offer in support of your business needs or to conduct online surveys to understand better our customers’ needs.

    If you choose not to have your personal information and data used to support our relationship, we will respect your choice, but may not be able to deal with you. We do not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties.

  3. purpose limitation

    iEnergytech will collect, use or disclose personal information or data supplied by you online, or through other means, only for the purposes disclosed to you, unless the disclosure:

    • Is a use of the personal data for any additional purpose that is directly related to the original purpose for which the personal data was collected;

    • Is necessary to prepare, negotiate and perform a contract with you;

    • Is required by law or the competent governmental or judicial authorities

    • Is necessary to establish or preserve a legal claim or defence or

    • Is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activities, such as willful attacks on iEnergytech information technology systems

  4. communication or utilisation data

    Through your use of telecommunications services to access our website, your communications data (e.g. internal protocol address) or utilization data (e.g. information on the beginning, end and extent of each access, and information on the telecommunications services you accessed) are technically generated and could conceivably contain personal data. To the extent that there is a compelling necessity, the collection, processing and use of your communications or utilization data will occur and will be performed in accordance with the applicable data privacy protection legal framework.

  5. non-personal data collected automatically

    When you access our websites, we may automatically (i.e. not by registration) collect non-personal data (e.g. type of Internet browser and operating system used, domain name of the website from which you came, number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed). We may use this data and share it with our affiliates to monitor the attractiveness of our websites and improve their performance or content.

  6. storage and security

    To protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or alteration and against unauthorized disclosure or access, iEnergytech uses technical and organizational security measures.

    iEnergytech may store your personal information in hardcopy documents or electronically. In most cases, we use password protected electronic databases maintained at our own sites, or that of a service provider, possibly involving a cloud-hosting service. Backups of electronic information may be stored offsite. Hard copy information is generally stored in our offices, which are secured to prevent entry by unauthorized people. Your personal information may be stored indefinitely until you advise you would like it removed or destroyed, however we may de-identify or destroy it earlier as required by law.

    Over time, data is archived and may be stored by a third party secure storage provider. Where personal information is stored with a third party, in such cases we will have arrangements in place requiring those third parties to comply with privacy laws. We will take reasonable steps to protect the privacy and security of that information, but we are not liable for any unauthorized access, disclosure or use.

  7. “cookies” - information stored automatically on your computer

    When you view one of our websites, we may store some data on your computer in the form of a "cookie" to automatically recognize your PC next time you visit. Cookies can help us in many ways, for example, by allowing us to tailor a website to better match your interests or to store your password to save you having to re-enter it each time. If you do not wish to receive cookies, please configure your Internet browser to erase all cookies from your computer's hard-drive, block all cookies or to receive a warning before a cookie is stored.

    We may ourselves, or by external companies place text or code (such as cookies or pixels) on our websites that collects information on usage-based online advertising; this is also known as "targeting." For this purpose, we may collect and store anonymised data on our website. The code so stored on your computer collects information about your activities on the websites you have visited (e.g., surfing behavior, sub-pages visited, ad banners clicked, etc.). Based on this data, a profile can be generated, however you as the user cannot be personally identified; in particular, the IP address you use is not stored.

    Your computer is then identified for ad delivery purposes and assigned to a target group. This information makes it possible to display advertising that is more relevant to you on the websites of other providers.

  8. children

    iEnergytech will not knowingly collect personal data from children without insisting that they seek prior parental consent if required by applicable law. We will only use or disclose personal data about a child to the extent permitted by law, to seek parental consent pursuant to local law and regulations or to protect a child. The definition of "child" or "children" should take into account applicable laws as well as national and regional cultural customs.

  9. links to other websites

    iEnergytech’s website contains links to other websites. iEnergytech is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites.

  10. disclosures of personal information to overseas recipients

    We may have your personal information stored, accessed and processed overseas by our affiliated companies or service providers who are located in other countries. We take such steps as are necessary in the circumstances to ensure that any overseas entity complies with applicable privacy laws, including through our contractual arrangements, or by ensuring that the overseas entity is also bound to comply with privacy and data protection laws or schemes similar to those in our country.

  11. questions and comments

    iEnergytech will respond to reasonable requests to review your personal data and to correct, amend or delete any inaccuracies. If you have any questions or comments about the iEnergytech Data Privacy Protection Policy (e.g. to review and update your personal data), please click on "Contact" and send us your questions and feedback.
