Building a quality system from the start can save significant sums of money down the track. Our rectification work has revealed that once a system has been installed to a poor standard on the roof, it is virtually impossible to economically bring it back to full compliance. At best it can be made somewhat safe, at great expense.

Workmanship standards: Ok, we’ve said this before but at iEnergytech we cannot stress this enough. This is the single most important element in design and construction. With all the auditing we have done we are conscious of how poor the workmanship standards can be. Our installers are picked for their ability to install compliant to the Australian standards and given the extra time to do so; moreover, when it comes to commercial projects, every single one is audited by our own internal-audit team. Any failings found are rectified, re-training undertaken if necessary and teams changed…if necessary. Nothing is left to chance;

Design, documentation: As per the ‘Design’ and ‘Documentation’ pages of our website; and

After sales support and service: In order to ensure we can provide the right level of support we allow for the cost of future support on our balance sheet, provisioning monies for this cost.

Tooling: All iEnergytech installation teams are equipped with the right tools for ensuring that warranty conditions are met; this includes torque screw drivers (manufactured in Germany); torque wrenches; insulation resistance testers; genuine MC4 crimping tools; ferrule crimping tools; etc. These tools add to the cost of an install, but at the same time ensure safety and compliance.

you get what you pay for

Well, most often this is true. Though as some of our audit customers will tell you, that doesn’t work always.

Why are iEnergytech not necessarily the cheapest?

The renewable-energy industry is highly competitive and it is only natural that companies will seek to win bids and projects on price. So why do iEnergytech systems often cost more knowing that this could cost us the project?

Because we want to give our customers value for money, a safe and compliant system that meets the Australian standards. After all, isn’t that what you expect?

We use industry leading components, for our panels, inverters and framing.

  1. Panels: QCells Hanwha has a rich history in Germany and continues to enjoy some of the highest standards of R&D in Germany. There are cheaper options but none, in our view, as durable as QCells;

  2. Fronius/SMA: Made in Austria and Made in Germany are only the tip of the iceberg. Alongside come European standards of support and service. Both companies have a local presence in Australia and provide direct support locally;

  3. Framing: Schletter GmbH has long been considered a leader in the field of framing. Their components are manufactured from T6 aluminium or stainless steel. The kliplok feet are rated for 20 years corrosion-free life and so do not use rubber or EPDM separating materials; a layer which would only weaken the joint in time; their corrugated feet have four fixing points (unlike one for most of the industry); their mid and end clamps are longer and have integrated earthing points;

  4. Cable: All our systems are built with Huber+Suhner DC cable; manufactured in Switzerland, H+S is considered the very best cable in the world thanks to its highly durable and fire resistant outer sheathing which has some 8 x greater lifetime than standard XLPE;

  5. DC Isolators: Made in Austria/Germany by Benedikt and Jaeger (rebranded as IMO) these are the isolators we use on the roof; they have external mounting holes and large bodies to ensure we are able to comply with cable-bending radii requirements;

  6. Clips: connectors: only genuine MC4 connectors are used and only the very best (French made) cable clips;
